One of the thing I love about homeschooling families is their willingness to experiment and try new learning opportunities. I created these QuickTime screencasts of some free educational software so that various friends and neighbors of mine can more easily learn about this software I helped design.
When I came across the Carnival of Homeschooling, I knew I had to share this info with the homeschooling community, too.

Screencasts -- narrated tours of software or web sites -- can be a great way of showing others the ins and outs of free educational software that is available. Here are two screencasts I recently created using Camtasia Studio, for Windows. Number Squares and Simple SokoMind. An emerging free screencasting program named Wink already has many fans. Wink is available for Linux and Windows. Mac users wanting to create screencasts should check out Snapz Pro or ScreenMimic.
